Amazing Perks What You Will Be Doing Our Finance Team is looking for an individual with integrity that has a strong General Ledger and Accounts Payable background. This team member should have strong computer skills and will be reporting directly to the Controller. We are seeking a Accountant who will work with the Controller on special projects and be an Accounts Payable Team Member for our finance team. The ideal candidate will be capable of verifying and entering a high volume of payables, processing vendor applications and a high volume of check processing, closing of A/P to the general ledger, be able to work on projects involving the General Ledger with the Controller, have great communication skills to interface with several other departments and vendor and will have solid general A/P problem solving skills. This is a finance position. We want people with drive, ambition and a goal to be successful. This position will equip you with the tools and the training needed to achieve your goal. Job Responsibilities: Interfacing with several other departments to obtain information Vendor Invoice verification, approval procurement, G/L coding and entry and posting in our industry specific software Vendor check requests to the Controller and running/distributing checks and posting Vendor application processing and new vendor entry TIMELY closing of A/P to the General Ledger each month Maintaining EXCEL spreadsheets on General Ledger accounts as assigned Check Register Maintenance on a daily basis and reporting to Controller Filing of all Accounts Payable documents Other responsibilities as given by the Controller What You Need for this Position 3-5 years Accounts Payable Experience Degree in Finance or Accounting a plus High level of skills in using computer systems and programs within a finance environment including intermediate to advanced EXCEL skills is a MUST Strong communication skills with other departments and vendors is a MUST Previous experience with General Ledger High level of integrity Ability to work well as part of a team or independently Dedication necessary to be successful At Least 3 Years of experience and knowledge of: - General Ledger - accounting - Excel - Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable (Full Cycle) What's In It for You Great opportunity to be a part of an industry leading company that has been family owned for over 50 years!
